They do it with heart. The Titos of Cebu Rotary Club together with CitrineLand Corporation is organizing a fundraising run, Run for the Gift of Life. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Gift of Life project of Cebu Rotary Club.

Do you know that Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) are the most common type of birth defect? But we rarely hear about it.

Thus the “CitrineLand Run for the Gift of Life” is organized by Cebu Rotary Club not only to raise funds but also to aggressively campaign for CHD awareness.

(Please see image below for details of Citrineland Run for the Gift of Life, or visit rotarycebu.org/giftofliferun. You can also check fb event page here >>. More details at the end of this post.)

Unknown to most of us, Gift of Life project of Cebu Rotary Club has been existing for 10 years. Gift of Life is an international organization focused on giving assisting to those with heart disease.

Mike Edenburn of Mosquito Killing System is a CHD survivor. He is a beneficiary of Gift of Life International. He shared a bit of his story, please watch vidoe below.

Cebu Rotary Club has been the partner of Gift of Life in Cebu, Philippines. It has already helped a lot of families seeking assistance for treatments of Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).

With the high cost of congenital heart disease treatments, the funds of Cebu Rotary Club is always challenged.

But Cebu Rotary Club know that there a lot of Cebuanos and other individuals who are ready to help their fellows in need. The “CitrineLand Run for the Gift of Life” is a start of their aggressive campaign for CHD awareness. It’s a call for those who want to help and contribute, we now know a legit organization on where we can channel our donation / contribution. For those who cannot join the fun run but still want to contribute, please visit rotarycebu.org/giftofliferun website.

CitrineLand Corporation

And, they are right. CitrineLand Corporation, one of the leading property developed of Cebu headed by Chloe Ong, is one of the first to answer the call of Cebu Rotary Club as one of the Major Sponsors of the upcoming “Run for the Gift of Life.” With the CitrineLand Corporation’s support, it definitely gives a big push to the CHD campaign awareness.

Following is a message of the CITRINELAND’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Chloe Ong, during the press conference.

Edward Tan Ting, the current project head of Gift of Life, has also been actively working on a sustainable ecosystem for the Gift of Life project. They know that it takes more than money to make this movement lasting, and so be able to help more individuals and families.

Let it Echo

Cebu Rotary Club’s Gift of Life has been working with Cebu Doctor’s University  Hospital since they started. Now they just recently team up with Let it Echo organization. Let it Echo is co-founded by Hannah Amora. She started it Maven’s Heart Fund, when they discovered that their son had CHD. She then realized that there are a lot of other families who are in the same situation. She then put up the “Let it Echo” group to provide awareness and support to these families.

Hannah Amora shared their CHD journey, and the exciting things to look forward to in collaboration with Cebu Rotary Club’s Gift of Life.

Mary Joy Tabal & JPD Coaching

Mary Joy Tabal together with JPD Coaching have pledged full support to this cause, as well as the other projects of Cebu Rotary Club. She made a quick appearance at the press conference before flying to Tuscany, Italy for a more scientific training as a preparation to the upcoming ASEAN games, and to the bigger goal of Olympics 2020.
