Last week Thursday, I was happy to be invited for a small press conference for the upcoming 2nd year anniversary of the running group Team Infinitea. Being surrounded with runners is always a happy event. It’s wacky time! =)
Following are some random thoughts and photos from the said event.
Let’s start with the media people. Present were (L-R from me) Cebu Daily News (CDN) photographer Christian Maningo, Sun-Star’s sports journalist Richiel Chavez, and CDN’s sports journalist Dale Rosal.
I was happy to see familiar faces, as well as a lot of new faces especially now that they grow into a multi-sports group. A few of them are now triathletes, and other triathletes are also now part of their group.
The #fashionblogger pose or getting wacky with Noel Tillor, Jezerel Baguio, Dani.
One of the triathletes at the mini presscon is Borneo International Marathon 2016 champion Noel Tillor (Sun-Star story here >>). I can’t believe this guy finally conquered his lack-of-swimming skills. He confessed before that he really could not make his self float. He will definitely be making the triathlon scene more challenging.
Team Infinitea has been a home to some of the talented athletes of Cebu like Rhoda Caballero and Noel Tillor. But recently, they officially have a COMPETITIVE TEAM, the athletes who podium on events.
In this video is Team Infinitea’s competitive athletes: Noel Tillor, Joie Nunez, Christian Saladaga, Jezerel Baguio. Present also is John Chad Alcano, the president of Team Infinitea.
Sharing story from the press conference from my media friends:
“The running club officially joined triathlon races since 2015, but we did not formally launch the triathlon team at that time,” said Alcano. We decided to formally launch the team this year because it is timely since IronMan 70.3 is drawing near, and that is the biggest race the team will be joining,” said Alcano in a press conference yesterday at the Infinitea in City Times Square in Mandaue City.

It feels great to be featured in a page like this, not because I feel great in doing so but it makes me feel great that the message of a FREE and OPEN Venue for RUNNERS with more RUN LESS TALK is now a regular Thing in CEBU.You don’t have to ask now if there is a run in Tuesday Wednesday (Infinitea Jones) or Thursday Nights like you do when your group organizes for a night run or a weekend long run.All you have to do now is just go there and its a no miss on those days (for 2 years)..Now you have a regular run outlet where you can choose on the best schedule that fits you. Now, every time you go to the venue there is always a number of runners who will run with you,,Just bring your Hydration bottle, Ice cold hydration is FREE at the venue and of course be present on the end of the month because we are giving away a brand new shoe ,who knows you will be the next winner. This is what I dreamed before ,a venue where I can run with a group, I have it now.And so do you.SEE YOU..
Thank YOU Ma’m Rose for the feature this will go a long long way to the Runners to be and the Runners at Heart!
thanks, sir john!
