It is hard to describe the beauty of the trails of Cebu City so we asked some of the trail running friends who had been to the route of A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge to share with us their favorite spot of the trail route. This way we could have a feel of it. They said giving me ONLY ONE favorite is harder than running the trail because they have LOTS of favorite parts.
HIS & HERS. Let’s start with these 2 lovely trail running couples preferred spots.
Richard Anania & Xid Suarez
His. Richard’s favorite spot is the “Pamutan Grassland.” He loves it because it’s so green, and the view is breath-taking. Also, he can see both the contrasting beautiful views of the mountains and the “city” of Cebu.
Hers. Xid’s favorite spot is the Toong-Buhisan Forest because we, girls, like it gnarly. =) On top of that is that Xid loves the idea of being in the surrounding of thick forest with its welcome coolness.
Santonin & Carmel Yu
His & Hers. Aside that both of them are RN, Mr. Mrs. Yu also both like the Buhisan Ridge area, which is the last 3km of the A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge. It’s because this part of the race will test not only your physical strength and endurance, but your mental ability and character to finish what you have started. Now you know the secret to #forever confidently beautiful marriage.
SEEN ZONED.
AJ Mercado, The Poster Boy
Toong is his favorite part of the A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge. For him, it’s what make Cebu such a charm when he gets to see the bustling city from the very peaceful mountain trails. It’s like being in the bosom of a lover taking a rest from the madness of life.
SOUND OF MUSIC. I got the feeling that people who love trails are those who kind of watched too much Sound of Music movies in their childhood.
Teody Cue, Hamster Trail 2015 Race Director.
(He’s not Korean so as to answer the question in your head while looking at his photo.)
His favorite part of the A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge is the area of Globe Towers because it would make him spin around like Judy Garland singing “The hills are alive with the sound of music…”
On a clear day, this is how it looks.
Dennis Savellano, itsshawtime.wordpress.com
Pamutan Grassland is also Dennis favorite spot of the trail because it brings him back to his warm happy childhood days of watching Judy Garland sing and dance on the hills that were alive of music.
Therefore, the route of A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge is that beautiful that even men cannot help but spread their arms, and sing…
