This August 30, 2014 is the fiesta celebration of Brgy. Calbasa-an, where its elementary school was the beneficiary of the Runnilla Eco Challenge 2013. The Brgy. Calbasa-an is inviting us this Saturday to join in their fiesta celebration. But to make it different, we thought of organizing a fun run, which is mainly for the students of Calbasa-an Elementary School and nearby local residents.
We had a very great time running in their places last April for the Runnilla Eco Challenge, that this time we would like to share to them the beauty of their trails and running thru a organizing a free fun run: Cebu Landmaster – St. Ignatius Calbasa-an Run.
This has been made possible with the help of the following groups and individuals:

We would like to thank them that despite the “smallness” of the event, they chose to support us. They will be providing singlets for the registered runners, and medals for the top finishers! =)
They provided us with vitamins and medicines, which we will be donating to the Brgy. Calbasa-an. We will coordinate with Mrs. Irene Gantalao and Brgy. Councilor Rudy Gantalao regarding the proper distribution of medicines and vitamins.
Coach Bonifacio Monjas
Coach Bon of Team ADR will also be joining in this activity by holding a free running clinic to the students of Calbasa-an Elementary School. He will also be sharing to them how running became a vital part of his life, which will inspire the students!
The running clinic will be held in advance this Aug. 26, 2014 at the Calbasa-an Elementary School. This way the students can prep up for the Saturday’s fun run!
You can read on his inspiring life story, “Bonifacio Monjas: Almost A Dozen Things About Him,” here >>.
For those who wish to share some thing (kind or cash) or livelihood training for the Calbasa-an community or simply your presence will be highly appreciated. We will have more events so do not worry if you’re going to miss this one!
And, we would like to invite you in advance for the Runnilla Eco Challenge Feb. 22, 2015! This is again in collaboration with Brgy. Calbasa-an and Minglanilla LGU, and the barangays which we’ll be passed thru by the route. And, this time, we’ll be picking a new barangay as the major beneficiary! =)
