James Go was there at the Cobra Ironman 70.3 last Sunday to be the official photographer of his 2nd-timer sister, Mickie Go (You can read Mickie’s recent ironman story here >>.) So he was able to witness the 70.3 Ironman in all angles.
Here are his 5 top favorite photos among all his shots, and his quick story behind it!
Eli’s finish line shot is the moments I live for, true emotion when the whole race flashes in your mind and you can no longer contain yourself. – James Go.
Here’s additional story behind this photo from Coach Norman Pascual.
This is the reason why i stay at the finish line.To witness passionate people who dare to finish an Ironman 70.3, and did it.Meet Eli Tanlapco Malicdem. She just finished her first Ironman 70.3 last Sunday. She trained as hard as she could just like everybody else.Juggling work, family and triathlon.Getting to this point was never easy. She did persevere to make this happen. She cried because she thought this was never possible until now.Awesome photo courtesy of James L. A coach and an athlete is Coach Norman Pascual. Even though he is racing, he always puts his students and team mates first, making sure everyone has something to bite. Congrats to Team Norman!
The swim part is always the wild card for most participants. There are not a lot of strong swimmers. And, this is usually the discipline where most lack in training. No amount of money you invest on gear can make you go significantly faster as compared to the bike part or run part.
