March 15, 2014 a 50KM and 120KM ultramarathon will be held in celebration of the Liberation of Panay, which “is of great historical and sentimental significance to both the veterans and the people of Panay and Romblon because it was the day when the Panay Guerilla Forces launched the final assault on the Japanese Imperial Armed Forces.” (Source: thenewstoday.info)
Both 50K and 120K distance categories start at Iloilo City. The 50K will end at Passi City, while the 120KM will bring your to the other side of the island in Roxas City. This race will go thru: Iloilo City, Zarraga, Pototan, Dingle, Duenas, Passi City, Dumarao, Cuartero, Dao, Sigma, Ivisan, Roxas City.
