After the 2013/2013 insanity of runners (story here >> 2013 / 2013 Club: No One Is Sane), there’s the 8/42: 42KM for 8 days… 8 straight days!!! To make it more cruel, they did it on a very holiday season, Christmas Day and ended in New Year, when everyone was having their year-end vacation and celebration.

This is nothing new. It’s actually now becoming a yearly tradition. It started last year as 7/42, 42KM in straight days, by Nap dela Torre and Lyra Valles.  You can check a backgrounder story here >>, So how did the 7-Day Marathon KM 0 Cebu Capitol (Dec. 12-18, 2012) END?

This year, it became a threesome, and they added one more day making it 8/42!

Here’s a gallery of their suffer-lebration!

Day 1

KM 0. The 8/42 is actually not at all hard. All you have to remember is KM 0, located in front of the Cebu Capitol Building as…

Day 2

It’s all about the T-shirt. I guess it’s already part of the tradition, a souvenir shirt, from Jacob Ong of Kai Sandals, awaits the brave ones who are insanely brave enough to complete the 8/42.

Day 3

Fans. They have fans. They sometimes get stalked. =)

Day 4

Food. Actually, it’s really about the food.

Day 5

(Used to be) 2013/2013 King & Queen. For months, these 2 had been recording the highest mileage per month in 2013/2013 (story here >>).

And, yes, more food!

Day 7

I guess it’s at this point you cannot help but ask if it’s really for weight loss? Or mind loss?

Day 8

Finally, KM 0 get to rest… until the 2014 edition. 9/42?

… and more food!

Thank you, 8/42 Nap / Lyra / Rheb, for this tradition!
