How does an ultramarathoner end a year of racing ultramarathons?
Create an ultramarathon event, 90Km Southern Philippines Unified Ultramarathon 2013 for the benefit of orphans.
It’s not only an ultramarathon race; it’s also a run with a cause. It has been a long-time wish of Katie Villaflor (her story here >>), 2nd runner-up of the recent PAU National Championship 110K in Guimaras, to organize a race which has beneficiary, orphanage houses. So 90Km Southern Philippines Unified Ultramarathon 2013 will be an act of pay-it-forward of Katie, Red, Lyra, and other running friends who helped in organizing this event.
In support of the organizing group and other sponsors, we’ll be raffling 1 race slot for this race. See details below at the end of this article, or here >>.
So here’s Katie sharing with us views of route portions of 90Km Southern Philippines Unified Ultramarathon 2013.
The route will bring you to Katie and some Davao’s ultramarathon runners’ training ground.
The route will give you a glimpse of the every-day life in Davao.
There will be some stretch of dirt road, which our knees will love.
