It’s always inspiring to read stories about runners – how they finish a marathon, how they prepare for it, how they plan out a training for a 3-kilometer run, what they think when they are running a 50K ultramarathon or a 160K (yes, needless to say we are that crazy!).
We read them as they share the reasons why they run and keep running. We read them and through their tales we are motivated to run and tell ours as well. But wouldn’t it also be nice to hear and watch them as they tell us themselves…on couch-talk conversation?
The idea behind the ‘Couch Talk’ is just about that – listening to the stories of our fellow runners like we are just having a casual conversation on a couch and watching them as they also show glimpses of a runner’s life beyond the roads and trails.
In our pilot episode, we are humbled to have the icon of minimalist running in Cebu to be our first guest – Jacob Ong, the man behind the Kai Running sandals. Here he tells us a bit of why he runs and a bit about his minimalist sandals that has gained the interests of many local runners in the country.
The Couch Talk is a production in progress and we also look forward to hear your thoughts. Watch out for the upcoming episodes. 🙂
